FSCO is accountable to the Minister of Finance.

The Alberta Insurance Council (AIC), formed under the Insurance Act, derives authority from delegations from the President of Treasury Board and Minister of Finance. The AIC has been working for Albertans for 30 years and counting, at no cost to taxpayers.

Advocis, The Financial Advisors Association of Canada, is the largest voluntary professional membership association of financial advisors in Canada, representing more than 13,000 members and 40 Chapters across the country.

The Insurance Council of British Columbia regulates and licenses life and general insurance agents, salespersons, and adjusters. We protect the public by ensuring that licensees act ethically, with integrity and competence.
